About Me
I’m Sandy Grigsby, a photographer and admittedly a total food snob. I’d much rather stay home and slave in the kitchen than dine out at a restaurant that doesn’t meet my culinary standards. This website was created for my friends, family and clients who have experienced my cooking and requested to have my recipes.
I love photographing food (especially when I can eat it afterwards), people, animals and places overseas where I can expand my palate. I often prepare delicious baked goods as gifts for the holidays, birthdays and special occasions. I’m happiest when I can prepare fresh meals for my guests and will even cook for my clients at their photo shoots! I’ve baked my own birthday cake multiple times and because of that I can no longer stand store bought cake, even the fancy stores…
Most everything I make is from scratch (exception being my Lasagna – but seriously, who has time to make lasagna the traditional way? I’d rather be shoveling manure – at least it will make my garden pretty). I try to use mostly organic ingredients or things fresh from my garden, rosemary herbed potatoes are a favorite around here.
Born in Switzerland to a mother who is an amazing cook, and raised in California where exceptional food options are bountiful, I have lived in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Argentina, Dubai, Bali, and Germany. I’ve been blessed to have traveled all over the world and sampled a variety of cuisines. My recipes include inspiration and flavors I’ve picked up from my travels, and even a few tips and tricks from mom – thanks mom!
